Gionee Marathon M5
M5 Enjoy Marathon is a slightly lighter version of the M5 Marathon. It is similar in many respects to the previous handset, but has changed in terms of display, camera and battery capacity.
Build and screen
The mid-range smartphone offers a premium feel with a metal body, just like the M5 Marathon. It has a dimension of 155 x 76 x 9 millimeters and a weight of about 200 grams.
The Gionee Marathon M5 Enjoy features a 5.5-inch IPS TFT display – a lowering compared to the AMOLED screen of similar size of the original device. The screen has the same HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and a pixel density of around 267 dpi for clear clarity.
Gionee Marathon M5 Camera and memory
The main camera of the Gionee M5 Enjoy Marathon has been downgraded by the 13 megapixel Marathon M5 to an 8 million pixel CMOS sensor. The selfie camera stays at 5 megapixels. Onboard 16GB storage is always what you get, space being expandable with an additional 128GB microSD card.
Processor, RAM and operating system
You should expect a level of performance similar to that of the Gionee Marathon M5, as it maintains the same four-core MediaTek processor coupled with a Mali T720 graphics processor.
The processor has enough support for 3GB of RAM for neat multitasking and responsiveness. Gionee Marathon M5 Enjoy runs on the Amigo 3.1 operating system, based on the Android 5.1 Lollipop software.
The Phablet comes with a low-capacity 5000mAh lithium-polymer battery, which according to Gionee will provide 52 hours of talk time. It grabs a fingerprint sensor in its home button and you can open the device in less than a second with this feature.
The dual SIM M5 Enjoy marathon offers ultra-fast data transfer speeds thanks to 4G LTE support.
